Depends on the tow load. My truck tows my car on a trailer with ease, zero issues with taking it on a long trip.
I hear you. Again, most diesel owners own them as a penis extension, and don’t do anything with them that a 1/2 ton gas could do. But, with the 1/2 ton gas, the general public does not get to see the nicer interior (for the money) and lower operating costs (payment, maintenance, etc). The BRO driving just wants the public to see him in his big truck.
Exactly
Most of the time that I’m driving, I’m behind the wheel of a somewhat rusted 95 Corolla with a shoestring doorhandle:tongue
really?? ride and interior quality?!?! COME ON. You’ve never even seen or been in my truck.
i wasn’t mad at all nor did i think you were refering to me. I’m simply stating the fact that buying ANY gas powered pickup is DUMB. Unless you’re going to diesel swap it :ninja
I dont tow much besides a 4x8 trailer with a quad on it and really dont haul much other than a quad and occasional random junk in the bed so I dont need an expensive to buy, expensive to fix, expensive to fuel up diesel 3/4-1 ton truck.
So Im getting 15 mpg at $3.45 a gallon and a diesel is getting 20 mpg at $4 a gallon. It most likely evens out.
I’ve been in plenty of early 2000 Ford trucks…dumpy interior. Sorry. My truck is full leather, heated seats, quad cab, onstar, 6 disc changer, etc etc…
Either way, you’re happy with your truck, you use it for what it’s intended for, and the same goes for me. That’s all that matters.
well if i bought someones wifes truck it’d have leather and all that faggotry. instead i bought a mans truck with a 6 speed. HOSS truck > glorified soccer mom truck.
I’m still winning. re-read ALL the points i brought up. yea, your come back was interior. enough said.
The interior on my truck isnt bad except for the seats that staind if you look at them and the hole that keeps getting bigger in the driver’s seat. Other than that its comfortable and the controls and shit are easy to use.
I hate leather seats in any vehicle and would much rather have cloth. Dont need ass warmers either.
I wish there was a stick shift option but the only stick shift in an '04+ F150 was in the lowest trim shitbox model with a v6 and 2wd.
If I want good gas mileage, I’ll take the corolla. If I want to go faster than either of our trucks could imagine going, I’ll take the Evo. If either one breaks, I’ll go pick it up with my truck and trailer. Enough said.
