OH MY ****ING GAWD!

maybe adam can help me out here, but I dont see how that setup can be efficient… Wouldnt the compressed air from turbo #1 moving into the intake of turbo #2 simply take the route with the least resistance and decompress out the filter rather than force the compressor to spin?

I wonder if it makes enough power to overcome the extra 750lbs in front of the front wheels.

AMS is crazy

your thinking of the old setup… no idea what there going to be doing for a setup here, but for a drag car as it wont be on the streets (im guessing) meth should be sufficient

regardless, setup is sick looking.

It is being built for an engine dyno, not a car. They built it in a car because of the rules for the contest, the motor needs to be able to fit in the car it came out of. Slowrthnu is right. I spent a few hours looking into the contest a few days ago. There are a 7 companies matched up with 7 magazines to cover the build. http://www.syntectopshopchallenge.com/. There is a Audi 5 cycl, RB gt4X motor, 383 stroker twin turbo… all shooting for highest crank hp.

+1 I have the last issue.
It said they were originally going to go with that setup but some constraints stopped them.

AMS does have that setup for another car.

god dammit, i just creamed my pants

they weren’t just shooting for the highest crank hp, they also had to make a usable power band and the size of the engine was taken into account for the contest. AMS did win it.
