I was going to open her up…but couldn’t figure it out, two screws on the back then do i just pry the front screen off…

Check your wiring.

My shit was acting weird when I had bad grounds.

I’m assuming your gauges are all electric?

i seen someone with defi electric gauges and if it sits on a angle to far backwords it reads 100, try pulling the gauge out and moving it a bit. see what happins.
best i can suggest other then wiring or faulty gauge

electric yes, ill check the grounds and wiring again…

when i bought the chassis this was how the gauge was, i didn’t buy it brand new, i only assumed it was a used working gauge.

k well it was a loose connection, but i still don’t trust the thing, touch the connection a little and the needle goes crazy…i guess ill have to see when i start the engine up next week…

Just re-do the connection properly then. Electrical gremlins and electrical fires suck.

well its the connection that plugs into the back of the gauge, so I’m not sure what to do now…

Pics of the back of the gauge?

the plug that’s the furthest controls the power and what not and you can see that it sticks out a bit more then the other one…i checked the other gauges and there not like that there suppose to be flush…

anyone know how to take it apart…

Wonder what all the wires are for. Do these gauges go to some sort of device for input?

I mean, +ve, -ve, signal is all you need ya?

Why isn’t the power plug in all the way?

Try to put it back in more or unscrew the two screws you see there.

the oil pressure wires go all the way to the engine bay where it switches to another set of wires via a plug then it goes to the pressure unit which fits directly into the stock pressure sensor spot.

As for the other wires the previous owner has taped them into the stereo harness, its all taped up neatly…

i took the screws out already and tried pushing the one plug in… but wouldn’t much …i didn’t want to break it…although the other plug did come out a little but i was able to push it back…

ill try again tonight
