Best places to drill hole for Gauges?

Try the trunk release cable hole in the firewall. Even if you have a
power cable going through it (if you had an amp in the trunk), there
should be enough room to pass a couple more cables through.

I passed a 4-gauge wire through that hole (you have to poke through the
grommet), so I’m sure you can pass several lines through that hole.

BTW, What gauges are you hooking up?

Ya hood release or you could feed it through where the ECU goes through which ever is closer.

i have all my stuff though here, braded oil line, boost line, power for amp, and othere wires. if you go though here take off you weel well cover, it makes it much ezer.

i didn’t like how the nylon line could be pulled out of the faring!! and didn’t trust it at 75psi. i got a 6 foot line and 0-150psi phantom gauge for 71cnd shipped on ebay. The 6 feet il long enough, i got it form the sender to the middle vents with a bit of room to spair.(s13)
its a autometer Braded line. there pitty expecive to buy new like $100 :s but i would pay that, don’t want oil spraing all over my car.

for the temp gauge i have not yet got one or hooked it up. but this is how im going to hook it up:

  1. get a meatal tube that will fit inside the rad hose. about 3-4" log.
  2. drill and weld the tepater sensor in the middle of the pipe.
  3. drain coolant.
  4. cut a pice of the rad hose on a strate section and put the pipe in and clam both ends.
  5. put coolant back in.

i have seen it done like this befor and it seems to work good. you could probly also get an electric one and hook it up to you exsiting sensor, but i dont konw were that is or have gotten the far.

i will be getting one in a few week.

um ya i didnt block it off to good, i used duckt tape hehe. i got do figuer sompthing out that would be better. and as for the pexy glass i want something a bit thinger and black so it mathces the dash. i aslo got autometer angle rings. they were $22 at PI. il give you more info at 4:30ish when i get home from work.

PI aka Preformance Improvments. the angle rings give you like a 45degree angel for the gauge.
i had a big hole driler 2’ 1/16 and drilled 3 holes. then i cut the glass to size, sanded and what not and then put it all in. pritty simple.
