I think the vans have a 2 valve 5.4 but I might be wrong. My 3 valve 5.4 is really quiet.
5.4’s also have a tendency to blow spark plugs out of the head, and do it all the time.
My brother’s '01 4.6 did that doing 55+ on 890 and the plug took out the coil too.
Its the 2v that does it, not the 3v. 3v plugs break off in the heads during removal. (fixed in '07 though)
