I remember convincing other elementary school kids that you have to type FDISK c: on the school computers to get them to run the games
Mutant league hockey/football all the time baby. :naab:
Logo Writer. The drawing game you used to enter coordinates into the command line and let the turtle draw for you. This was my first memory of using a computer, which was 4th grade i believe (1988/89)

first family computer was a 486dxII 66 mhz with 8mb of ram and a 425mb hard drive. I think we got it right around when the first pentium came out so it was already out of date.
How about america online plans with a limited number of minutes for the month? Or when things started to take off and it was nearly impossible to dial in at peak times without continuously getting a busy signal.

My first computer was an Amiga 500. All time favorite game was archinoid! I used to play the original flight simulator on it as well as the original test drive and indy 500 as well. OH and f-117a stealth fighter later on. LOL that game was on 3 or 4 floppy disks and every time you switched modes you had to switch disks… what a pain that was.
I think they bought me that when i was five and there used to be an amiga store on delaware that my mom used to take me to every now and then to get more games.
My parents had an office in their basement though before my amiga but im not sure what they had anymore. I remember sitting in my moms lap entering in data for her though.
I remember playing oregon trail at school and this ant adeventure game that was all about math.
LOL god the nostalgia…
i remember getting a 286 with a 40 mb hd and running dos 5 on it. My parents upgraded it all the time, so we ran the spectrum from all the way up to 586 then switched to a pentium. It was always so exciting getting new shit for it.

man how could i forget mech warrior! that was great! so was descent and f1.
anyone remember terminal velocity or total annihilation? War craft started around that time too.
You can download most of them for free (full version) as abandonware now.
I think Apogee still renews the licensing on some of them though -.- Even though they’re out of business? mhmm.
at least 3/4 of the games I played then were all Apogee, heh.
Interplay was big too.
With M.A.X. and descent and such.
Lol, mech warrior was pretty sweet. I played that game insanely, I <3’d the customization aspect. Online was pretty annoying though, the whole lag shooting and crap in netmech.
Descent = <3333333333333333333333
I enjoyed TV pretty much, didnt get in to TA too much though.
On Kali, I remember a guy that went by the name of TX… TX because it used to be TV, but too many people asked him if he wanted to play TV, lol.
His RL name was Tom Vogel, and lived locally… I forget the town… Amherst sounds right for some reason…
I remember the guy pretty well, because it was my first run in with a local online (I was like 6-7 at the time?)…
