OMG SNOW 2009-2010 thread - driving, pictures, etc

Maybe as an air spring then have a valve to actuate it so it rotates into my driveway so I don’t even have to get out of my car to get my mail. lol
Do they make solar powered compressors?lol

I got caught, my snow tires dont arrive until friday, so i had to drive into work with the Continental Sport Contact 2’s… wasnt too bad as the roads are only wet, but as soon as i hit any sort of snow in the road my traction control light was yelling at me…

so glad i put my car in storage on saturday lol

Heh mine was put away by mid october… I didnt wanna take any chances…

I’ll have to look into property owner liability if they install a super-mailbox. Interesting…

I drove my lotus on sunday.

It was glorious.

im usually excited when we get our first snow. except this year some asshole in a pickup rearended my dad on the truway this morning. so much for having a clean e36 from cali.:banghead:

LMAO this made my day

Had a little dusting here in the Finger Lakes, already gone. Roads = clear.

I was on the 90 around noon today between 78 and the Williamsville toll barrier and there was a salt truck dumping salt all over a perfectly dry I-90, temperature 42 degrees with no below freezing temps in the forecast for 48+ hours.

:picard:

Your NY tax dollars at work.

That’s 2009 salt. They have to use it by the end of the year or they’ll cut the salt budget for 2010

same old every year, I’m just glad I got out of Buffalo Monday afternoon before it got bad

I had no time to mount the winter tires yet, so I drove to Buff State on low-pro summer tires…that was interesting, yet I was still managing to get by all the idiots on the road. Winter wheels and tires are now on though…BRING IT!

no salt or snow out here, which is cool because I’m driving an 86 monte carlo ss with no heat , 3.73 posi and hard almost bald 12 inch wide tires. it likes to go sideways on minimally wet roads, or maybe I like to make it go sideways, its one of those.

^^classy

The capital region just got it’s first flurry today. I was hoping it’d stick around for some awd parking lot fun… oh well, soon enough.

I’m 1.8 and bald Falkens on 18 inch rims dont help but I was fine. I hope it doesnt come down bad before I can get them off this weekend.
