Or cuz it was a DSM. I remember driving Jay’s 240… I think I stalled it a couple times and pretty much never left smooth. It was like on/off. You had to rev the piss outta it to slip it and I felt bad doing that (remember I’m a dumbestic V8 mullet head).

it was by FAR the weirdest clutch ever. totally opposite of the ACT 2600 in the talon. That thing would start to grab almost instantly and was fairly smooth engaging. The twin plate doesnt start to catch until the clutch is almost the whole way out and when it does, it just fucking grabs. And for the record, I pulled out perfectly at about the 3rd or 4th intersection I tried.

You think thats hard to start driving? … lol … my truck was a BITCH when I did the 13 1/2 inch South Bend Fe Clutch conversion. It grabs pretty much right away … and I know what you mean … it GRABS … then its out all the way.

It takes a while to get used to ANY different clutch
