Rapid expansion of gas is a confined container. The containeer burst causing a rapid expansion of gas in the bucket. Propelling the bucket upward when the bottle does burst.

Another part that isn’t visable is the physical expansion of the plastic bottle stretching before it bursts allowing it to hold even more.
