On your summer tires yet? *Update for 4/7 snow storm

mine never came off haha my cars been in storage

i run my summer tires in winter cuz theyre all seasons

then there not summer tires dummy

I am glad I decided to wait now. My daily drive includes the hills in the sprinville/concord/colden area. I usually swap in the first couple weeks of april.

yeah i wasn’t too happy about driving all the way to Binghamton in the snow with azeni’s on saturday morning on the way to the blowneuros meet.

the car is staying parked until that shit stops

Just put my summers on yesterday. Man its a good feeling.

theyre salting everywhere lol

Wow, that was a shitty 2 mile drive to work. 245 wide summer tires rated N/A for snow and ice really are not applicable for driving on snow and ice.

ya I did not feel like dieing this morning, good thing I kept the winter beater on the road.

Nice ride in this morning on snows and 4wd full time

lol… yea i went completely sideways into tim hortons this morning at 2mph. i barely touched the gas at all and turned in and it just went and wouldn’t stop.

i don’t know how people don’t buy snow tires, so retarded.

My ride was not that bad. 4 miles of Tonawanda streets on summer tired that should probably have be replaced.

Because some of us are able to drive on lowly all seasons and self control? :eekdance:

dunno, i guess buying the right tire for the conditions just seems like a no brainer to me… why not get them, it’s not like you save any money by NOT buying them. your all season just get worn out sooner and you have to buy tires anyways.

wifeys tribeca has all seasons and it’s not bad at all in the snow but had we not picked it up so late in the season i certainly would have gotten snows for it. those crossover suv’s have too wide/low profile tires for snow

I saw snow on my porch this morning and was none too pleased, but nothing stuck on the ground, there was no salt, and I had a perfectly fine drive into work. Hopefully the snow holds off until I need to go home, though.

There you go. I’m not saying Snows are a waste, or universally unecessary. I just don’t feel that EVERYONE needs them. I had my mustang out last night, on Proxy4s. I didn’t die. :gotme:

Didn’t die using a 2100lb RWD car on all-seasons to drive to work this morning. But that is unpossibles from what I hear.

:word: - i’m an avid fan of snows because i enjoy driving my car more in the snow than i do in the summer :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone who would try to run all winter on summer tires rated N/A for snow/ice is retarded. One day because you get a freak late snowstorm, fine, but make sure you realize just how little traction you’ll have.

All seasons are fine for the majority of people if they just drive for the conditions but real summer tires are simply unsafe, regardless of your skill. Anyone who’s seen me autocross knows I’m comfortable going sideways as much as straight, but taking the s curve near work at 6mph I still wasn’t fully in control today and had one of those “oh shit” moments where I thought I might tag the curb.

Jay I assume you’ve replaced the stock 18’s that came on the goat, right? Those were actually semi-manageable in the snow if absolutely necessary.
