ya i dunno. i think its tough to predict the future in general. when is the hp wars gonna stop? mean if the base ls3s are dynoing close to 400 plus the ls7 is where it is etc. at what point can those motors not compete? is the 2012 base Mustang GT gonna be at like 700 and the SVT be 900? i mean, i just dont know what to say about anything in the future at this point. who knows, maybe they wont be using either design with all the alternative fuels and whatever crazyness is being expermented with. but for right now i guess its cool that Ford does their thing and their customers like it and same goes for GM.

I am guessing the HP war to last a few more years. Then insurance companies will get involved and we will have the 70’s all over again. I think this is where the now mod motors will continue and the old school pushrod engines will not be able to keep up with emissions and whatever else they tack on.
