So i was going about my daily business when I noticed the firehawk just wasn’t running right.

sorry to hear about zee ride.

need a valve spring puller? I’m sure you got one…tup: to finding the fix

wow that sucks chuck. You think its been like that for a while? Just going to change the spring, and think/hope is was defective?

whats a vavle spring puller?

I don’t remember the technical term, but its a claw like tool that compresses the spring so you can take it off. Thats what I used for bobby’s cam install, was a pimp as tool, not too bad to use either. I do however have a bunch of cuts and what not on my arm  stupid roomless 4th gens

I don’t know what would have caused it. Very perplexing. I hope it was just defective. Although, oddly enough the plug wire to #4 seemed also to be defective.

We have the LS1 valve spring tool. It does one cylinder (both springs) at a time using the lifter stud location. thanks tho!

you seemed to have skipped my comment, where i was right :gotme:  calm down chuck, juuusttt a joke

ouchy

I had a similar thing happen to my Mustang with a previous set of heads. I just chalked it up to bad luck that it broke…sometimes parts hold up, sometimes they take a dump and leave you screwed. There was no indication before putting them in, they all had the same spring pressure before I installed them…so ya, it is wierd when one goes.

WHOA, you said #7 was burned, and I had to pull the motor! Which was an incorrect assumption. :gotme:

What brand/model vavle springs?

get er’ fixed…!!
