Seriously… I tried really hard with all of the registration info to make it as secure as possible, but obviously the host has dropped the ball on their end. Do you have any suggestions aside from demanding that they improve? Anything we can do on a local level to secure the directory better?
Do they use cpanel?

Our host is 1and1. They’re not sure exactly how it happened, but they said there might have been an exploit they were unaware of… lol, no shit. Their servers are updated now apparently. A lot of their sites are still down.
There isn’t anything we could do on our end to prevent it.
