S tech are good for lowering but you’ll sacrifice handling. You should get some h&r or eibach springs.
i’d like some h&r’s. i will have to look around for the best deal then. thanks for the input.
put some 20’s on it, lower it and a 15 sub in the pass seat . That would be ballin to drive to the riverfront like that .
it would still be alot nicer then most of the cars in this area lol
funny jeff. and its riverview. lol.
new wheels will be here next week! got a good deal on something. will post pics when there on.
are the new wheels larger than stock .
no. there still 15’s. but its goona look much better once i drop it a lil bit to.
This is with Tein s.tech springs. I want this height on mine! perfect for me. I believe it is a 1.5" drop in the rear and a 1.2" in the front. :update: this pic is a lie !! its sitting on full coilovers…damn tein!!!
Better get some wider wheels for it too, that thing looks goofy with pizza cutters on all 4 corners…
well they come with 205/50/15 in the back and 185/50/15 up front. the wheels i am getting(at some point) are both 205/50/15. and i don’t know to much about offset and hellafulshness so bare with me. i want it sitting nice, but drivable. i do want some offset for the rear. so spacers?
Gotta measure how much room you have on both sides of the wheels/tires that you have on the car now and go from there… Spacers blow, add width.
noted! thanks jim.
Not getting the Rota’s? Let me know, I’ll tell Carota.
i want to bro,you know that. i just cant spend that right now…need lawyer more lol. unless he can do like a payment plan…mmmuuuuhhhhaaaaaa.
So i am thinking about doing a k20z1 swap to the mr2 when the motor starts acting a fool (which i am sure is not to far off due to the massive fail that is the 1jz) so I am just seeing what yall think?
should i do it?
or just rebuild and S/C or turbo?
again this prolly wont be till late winter or early spring. depends on funds available to.
What do hardtops run for these things?
To answer your question - what would be the power output of either motor, stock SC Vs k20, not to mention financial costs and hours labor.
This should help you make up your mind much easier.
Damn, you got a 1jz up in dat bish? How is a 1jz a fail? I didn’t think you could stuff a straight 6 in there…
caz i just read your post. lol. im a dumbass. 1zz not 1jz. i wish!
as of right now i am leaning to do a k20/24 swap in this bitch. if i am gonna do sumthing its gna be big and done right. i like what synapse did with that maroonish hatch! i want something along the lines of that and maybe a few more ponies. its gonna be my summer dd.
at some point i need to make a trip and see morgan about pricing this stuff out. if all goes they way i plan, i hope to have this thing done early spring…
i want this to be an open disscusion, i need some input fella’s. i know you all have opin’s!
i figure if synapse does the swap it would be in good hands. i already know it wont be cheap so thats nothing new to me. like i said i would only do this if it was all out!
I’m not touching the motor of my MR2 until I can put a K series in there. That will most likely not be within this decade, but it will happen eventually. I think a high revving N/A 4 cyl is the only motor for an mr2/mrs/exige. In a perfect world I’d like a 3S-GE BEAMS swap (or in a double-perfect world, a Formula Atlantic 4A-GE), but in all reality I think a K series is ideal.
Sooo… my personal suggestion will be yes, go for a K series, just realize that it will in NO way be the most economical way to get 200-280whp in your car. Unless there is some kind of bolt/weld-in kit for the MR-S that I don’t know about haha.
