long story short. i have somebody who’s paying $ to have it on display during promotional events…which more than covers the cost of insurance. If i keep it, there’s a possibility it may get vinyled for the spring and collect $ as a moving billiboard because of the attention it gets. Plus it’s paid off and i’m not paying any interesest on loans.
I really only know you from reading this site…but from what I’ve seen with your DIY posts this car seems like a great canvas for you. If it’s already turnkey, you can get right into the fun part of personalizing it and improving on the areas you feel need work. As I was looking at the pics my initial reaction was that it looks sharp and would be fun as hell to drive, while my second look left me saying “I’d like to redesign this area…”. I’m not talking about major cosmetic chages, more like the stuff you’ve done with your BMW where you’ve messed around with paint, carbon fiber, soft goods, etc…the attention to detail.
Lose the insurance of the T-Rex, put that money towards DIY projects (if you’re still into that), and just drive and enjoy the car.
EDIT: just see you posted about the insurance being a non-issue…either way, what I wrote in the first paragraph still stands.
I thought that’s what your BMW was for? I just see no point in the T-rex. Just buy a bike if you like that kind of fun… Egh, but it’s your call not what we think…
I like this trade, definitely looks like a fun car. But like you said, this really isn’t the exact kind of car you’re looking for. Would this trade give you a better value than selling the T-Rex and finding something more suitable?
