Reguardless of who was president of the US, this situation was a going to be FUBAR’d. FEMA came in last year did a synopsis of this and after all said and done the residents living there are as much to blame. THEY KNEW it was coming and they did not enough to nothing. Sorry but you can’t fault anyone in the federal government as the primary fuckup when the local levels didn’t do shit to begin with.
You are a sub sea-level city on the ocean where hurricanes happen every year. Its just like playing russian rulette. eventually your luck is going to run out and you have to deal with it. Shifting blame around to a single individual is absolutly bullshit. TRYING TO turn it into a racial thng like that fucking ashhole racist Jesse Jackson is even more dispicable. That mother fucker should be drowned with the weight of the nation on his head.
Reguardless of what people think, the national guard does not sit around all day and wait for emergencies. Bases and personnel are doing stuff on a day to day basis and are always working. You only see them physically on TV in action when somthing like this happens. So to say they should have been positioned down there prior to the hurricane happening is not a realistic option. Especially when the local governemnt is responsible for evacuation plans.
This all goes along with speration of federal and state governments. No matter how people want to skew the topic, the majority of the blame should be on City Officals, Then the STATE officals, then the FEDERAL government.
On a side note since its already been mentioned once, I personally think the next person to mention race as a determining factor in anything like this especially NATURAL DISASTERS should be shot in the fucking head. Its time to get over the race thing, especially when its ok to have benifits and perks when you are a certian race like scholerships, and holidays and so forth, but as soon as somthing bad happens its a racially charged injustice.
the President of the United States is very much to blame for the horrific response. He’s been spending billions of your and my tax dollars and touted the US as becoming extremely prepared for an event such as this. And then it happens and we perform horribly. We even had a heads up with this one. We’ve known for years that this could happen so evacuation plans should have been in place. And we knew for days that a storm of a lifetime was heading at N.O., so we should have implemented said evacuation plans. However, we didnt. A terrorist attack would not have that luxury. Im not saying that the state and local govt’s werent also responsible, but they were more responsible for the pre-hurricane shit. Once the shit hit the fan they really couldnt do shit. We have an entire federal (what used to be cabinet level) agency dedicated to nothing but emergencies such as this. And then when it comes time for them to perform, they fail miserably. Why did they fail? we dont know exactly yet, but putting one of your old cronies that has NO emergency management experience as the head of FEMA is pretty fucking retarded, especially in the post-9/11 era.

you have a lot to learn…there are reasons why there are things like scholarships for minorities, afirmative action, awards for minorites, BET, etc…

actually did you know that in the latin american and south american areas, black people are known to score better on SAT’s than in america??? why is that… so many people in america state how one-sided the SAT’s are and how unfair for hte black community they are… but wtf?
