Opinions on Cobalts

Anyone have Opinions on cobalts? how do they drive? build quality?

Right now a dealership is having a special on Cobalts, 88 dollars a month for 39 months with 1500 down… thats like next to nothing for a car to drive around in. I am paying 330 now for the VW, i just can’t see any reason to pay for a car that I barely drive.

I say go look and drive one and see for yourself…but that is an awsome deal

Instead of eating lunch I went for a test drive in a Cobalt LT Coupe.

I am going to work with another dealership, this place would just not budge so I walked away. The car I test drove looked like its been sitting for a while, I think it will continue to sit with their atitude!

they are nice cars. my friend got one of the first '05s and he said there was a problem with the windows coming off track but i think it was a recall or something. but other than that, no complaints. i think they are really nice cars.

where did you look??? i can set you up with someone here. and if you dont wanna go to the chevy dealer in ambridge, they can bring it up here for you to look at in wexford

i can’t believe you just posted this…I def. can’t see you in a cobalt, although you may need an auto after your girl almost took your legs off the other night while getting in her car :slight_smile:

I know…that is lame you can get one w/o the s/c.

yes… i believe you pay the lease towards the interest, then the buyout is mainly on the princpal if you wanted to purchase it in the end.

My friend has a cobalt with that plain. Seems like a nice car, alot nicer then the focus. Maybe not as nice as the new civics. But still for the price, thats a good deal.

i hate the seats… their not comfy at all, and no armrest

If its cheaper then the VW and gets the same if no better gas mileage, go for it?

Consumer Reports ranks them as below average. That explains the cheap lease price but otherwise I still can’t think of any car that you can get for such little money.
