opinions on rain gear

I need to pick up some cold weather/rain pants for when I take my bike to work and it happens to rain, and also because its still a little chilly at 5 in the morning when I have to go in early, so my legs sometimes start to freeze… lol. I found these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-VEGA-NITRO-MOTORCYCLE-WATERPROOF-RAIN-PANTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em20Q2el1116QQhashZitem2ea415147eQQitemZ200321340542QQptZApparelQ5fMerchandise

and was wondering what anyone thought of them. They seem like they will do the trick as they are waterproof, and will also work for blocking some of the wind. I have a rain jacket that fits underneath my riding jacket so my upperbody is always dry and warm… but my legs tend to take a beating in the cold in the morning or if its raining when I go home.

Thanks

Kenny

half the damn description is talking abot the jacket that isnt included

anyways yea u could do that, but they dont have to be riding pants, they can be any pants, i would try to get some pants with some insulating material inside if your cold…

sounds like a good idea cuz if its hot and clear weather just throw all of it under your seat or in a lil sport backpack thing, the one with the strings for straps, i forgot what they are called…

i have a backpack that I take with me everyday since when I go in its usually around the mid 40’s but up into the 70s when I leave, so I have quite a bit of extra layers that I dont wear on the way home. I just keep the backpack bungee’d to the back fender/seat very securely.

what bike do u have?

83 suzuki gs550

whoa hahah i was thinking u would say a gsxr, oh well at least i was right about the suzuki, i have an 01 yamaha R1 , bought it last year when i joined this site

its only to get me started. Hopefully next year or the year after (whenever I can get my truck paid off) I will be picking up either a Buell XB12R or a Buell XB12scg… not really sure which I wanna go with.

oh yea i hear ya, its better to get started on something that is not used and not too fast, and generally not heavy … starting a liter bike or something of the like is just stupid

I have a set of snowmobile thermel pants. There like skin tight long johns. They work very well. Can not feel wind thrigh them and they repel water.
