ok just some FYI…its not just a Saturn thing. MOST FWD cars can have a differential pin blow out. Alot of neon guys, including myself, and my friend Jack just last week, have blown the differential casing to a million bits in neons. But Pretty much any FWD can have this failure. Not just Saturns…in case some of you were confused or uneducated.

was yours the turbo one running 12s?
[/quote]
That was someone else, and its supercharged not turboed
Just weld the dif pin.Thats what i have done to mine and i beat it up pretty good. The engine will blow first.:bloated:
I never welded a diff pin in the 2 saturns I owned…with built motors. I did alot of burnouts, and never had the pleasure of blowing one up…however I think I was just lucky.
I bea thte hell out of my saturn, although it doesn’tusually have enough power to do burnouts, I do use it like a truck. why just yesterday I towed a 88audi 5000S from springville to cheektowaga. part of the trip was on the 219 @65mph.
I have towed my 94 blue SHO parts car about 12 miles
89 parts car SHO 3 miles
01 audi 2-3 miles
its a beast! do the automatics have diff issues?
That sucks.
A guy on our V6Z24 board did this to his.
Dan
yikes…
i dont usually drive like a “douche” when im in the saturn, but to get it moving at ne kinda decent pace you pretty much have to be hard on it.
