Our 44th President, Barack Hussein Obama

Here is the thing, Obama might have forgotten who the big players in the stock market are when he was digging around in his ass for his tax proposals. If he’s going to jack up the capital gains tax, then he should expect for the stock market to go down while the “rich” (read: smart) cut their losses and pull out of the stock market.

How hard is that to follow?

edit: illustration of what happens to the DOW when you elect a president that wants to double capital gains tax.

Wall Street hardly delivered a
rousing welcome to President-elect Barack Obama on Wednesday,
dropping by the largest margin on record for a day following a U.S.
presidential contest. The slide more than wiped out the previous day’s advance, the
largest Election Day rally ever for U.S. stocks. The following table shows the percentage rise or decline in the
Dow Jones industrial average .DJI, Standard & Poor’s 500 index
.SPX and Nasdaq composite index .IXIC on the day after a U.S
presidential election and who won the Election Day vote.

Day 1: Change accomplished

hope the kool aid tastes good guys, cause you’ll need to drink a lot of it these next 4 years :frowning:

much greater margin than the last two elections, AND the people gave him larger democratic majorities in both houses to work with.

bush claimed he had political capital to spend when he was reelected in 2004 by a much smaller margin than Obama’s victory.

let the axe grinding begin :hitit:

I heard the national bird is changing from the bald eagle to fried chicken?!?!

:hsugh:

try harder.

They’re tearing out the rose garden and putting in a watermelon patch?

just repeating something I heard and got a laugh out of, I don’t believe that the presidency should be a race issue.

however if the presidency isn’t a race issue, then there ought to be other headlines rather than “first black president” etc. and if it isn’t a race issue, then I don’t see why the black community embraces him the way that they have (95% of black voters voted Obama). I think it is hypocritical for a white person to be scalded for saying anything about Obama’s race in anything but praise, yet for minorities their vote was very much a race issue and make no attempt to disguise it.

and?? much greater than last two and much less than many others… it’s not a huge victory… and it’s not the same as the closest election in history… ummmm no ****! what point are you even trying to make? 8mil votes is not a landslide … get real dude… :hsugh:

and the race thing is a shame… “black” president is bad enough but what was truly sad is that the news kept reporting that Obama’s “White” grandmother died…

i never said it was either extreme.

then what were you trying to get at?

in all fairness, the Democratic candidate frequently gets over 90% of the black vote.

and people can say all the dumb **** they want about obama, but when they say he’s going to have his hair braided on the white house porch, sipping on gin and juice, it has more of an effect on my opinion of them than of the president-elect.

that it was a more decisive victory than many Republicans (especially talk show hosts) are admitting.

it wasn’t Reagan big, or FDR big, or Nixon big, but it was a clear victory, and a larger margin than we’ve seen recently.

it is an idiots attitude, more like a socialist attitude since he’ll be flying high on pension.

With all the stubborn redneck republicans out there, sore after losing the election past one of the greatest failures of leadership in the history of the United States of America, they continue to defy the reality of the current state of the union. Not only was/is the administration corrupt, but blatant lies have tired the US citizens, black and white. Now the people have voted for change and they have a problem with it.
Now they’re all afraid of what will come. “Everybody buy guns” “Obama will get assassinated, just you wait.” “[random KFC joke]” Those people, you people are truly idiots if you think there is any direct correlation between a black president-elect and the end of our world power. I’m so sick of reading and hearing all this bullsheet. You’re a bunch of racists fawks that need to lighten up to the fact that he is different, he represents the country as whole, rich and poor, whatever skin tone. As long as he surrounds himself wth the right people, he will carry on like any other president.

So you don’t want to give your hard earned money to the government but at the same time sucking off USAF tit helped to get you were you are now. Please don’t be so hypocritical.

Typically over 90%…nope…about 90% yes
1992=83%
1996=83%
2000=90%
2004=88%
2008=96%
96% to 3% for McCain…

Overall this year it wasnt too big of a gap
64,413,013 (53%) vs 56,733,958 (46%)

Take out some of those bogus Acorn votes and may have been closer

Obviously, you either didn’t take or didn’t pay attention in sociology class. Regardless, some of what you think/say/spew is also biased and racist, you aren’t in the public eye, so STFU. It’s all propaganda to get your point across. Based on your premise if your uncle had a vagina, would he still be your uncle? Enough with the if/then premises.

Stop being bitter already and just read over a couple of times what be-rad wrote…maybe it’ll sink in:

Calling everyone a bunch of racists is quite the overarching generalization. Saying that everyone doesn’t agree with the far left policies that he is going to implement is much more logical.

Take this for what its worth, but a lot of people are just playing the race card for a laugh on the internet (serious business). My joke about the watermelon patch puts me in that category, I suppose. Oh well.

As far as surrounding himself with the right people, so far he is NOT showing himself to be a good decision maker in my eyes.

Chief of staff: Rahm Israel Emanuel. He sat on the Freddie Mac board, and I think he escaped controversy during the impeachment trials by leaving the white house in 98.

:ugh2:

edit: OH YEAH, and as far as ‘spreading the wealth’ goes, the Obama campaign paid its temporary employees with pre-paid visa cards, thus avoiding FICA taxes - so if they’re all for upping our taxes to make things more fair, why are they dodging them? and I quote Obama “since when did they decide to make a virtue out of selfishness”

“Everyone Buy Guns” is because Obama knowingly and openly is against the 2nd amendment for individual right to bear arms… .he’s been trying to re-write the amendment for over a decade… it’s not a farce or some idiotic redneck thought… it’s reality and obviously important to some people and not to others.

that’s fair.

Relax man, what are you so uptight about? You are just trying to find things to not like about him. He isn’t even the president yet, let the last **** up finish first. Racism is racism, no sugar coating it, a lot of people on here and are racist. Murtha said it best and it was ok somehow, but when Obama says something similar he gets bashed for it. That’s racism again. The rest of what you say is personal opinion. I am glad you are following his moves and paying attention to the political process, but that’s still your personal opinion, you did your due diligence and voted. hopefully

Has anyone heard of Brian Moore…

yep. almost wrote him in.
