Our next vice-president.

Jesus Christ, this broad’s a fucking idiot; and this is Katie fucking Couric for crying out loud! Holy shit, I’d give my left nut to see Edward R. Murrow knock this dumb broad down a few pegs. So, without delay, the incredible genius of our next vice-president…

On the $700 billion bailout and whether or not she supports it:

I’m all about the position that America is in and that we have to look at a $700 billion bailout. And as Sen. McCain has said unless this nearly trillion dollar bailout is what it may end up to be, unless there are amendments in Paulson’s proposal, really I don’t believe that Americans are going to support this and we will not support this. The interesting thing in the last couple of days that I have seen is that Americans are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal. They’re not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do. Is he going to do this and see what way the political wind’s blowing? They’re waiting to see if John McCain will be able to see these amendments implemented in Paulson’s proposal.

On the pros and cons of the bailout, and “poor decisions” not being rewarded:

Consumers - and those who were predator lenders also. That’s, you know, that has to be considered also. But again, it’s got to be a comprehensive, long-term solution found … for this problem that America is facing today. As I say, we are getting into crisis mode here.

The following is so goddamn poetic that it needed to be included in its entirity:

Couric: You’ve said, quote, “John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business.” Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?

Palin: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie - that, that’s paramount. That’s more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.

Couric: But he’s been in Congress for 26 years. He’s been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.

Palin: He’s also known as the maverick though, taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he’s been talking about - the need to reform government.

Couric: But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you’ve said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?

Palin: I can give you examples of things that John McCain has done, that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that is what America needs today.

Couric: I’m just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.

Palin: I’ll try to find you some and I’ll bring them to you.

what are you talking about???

this is dumb… who cares. not one politician will say anything specific and to the point… they are too busy trying to please the masses!

AGREED

The fact that she sounds like an idiot…it’s not even a matter of details at this point.

So by stating this is our next VP you believe that Barack Obama is not going to win?

You must have missed the sarcasm smiley…

Yeah, Joe Biden is SO intelligent! For example, he said this:

Brilliant Joe!

lol… we can go there next

they are all lying idiots!

tele-promter went bad…At least that was public speaking, she was prepared for the first interview since she was ‘selected’ by old man mccain, and couldn’t spit any questions out that she was prepared to answer :bowrofl:

time will tell when biden and her go at it…

swarzkopf-i posted the biden video, look a few threads below

is there a teleprompter in the oval office? i didn’t realize how important that was to a presidency. I know that people dont like the idea of having an idiot in office… most people usually say how awesome lol’bama is at public speaking and critical thought, i guess he critically needs a teleprompter to complete a thought…

This is exactly what your girl sounds like: http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/couric-palin-open/704042/

Your girl palin, can’t even prepare for a pre-discussed questionarre

Check out her awesome views on creationism:

So, she talked a huge game about teaching both of these in public schools, but once in power did nothing:

BTW - this is some new ish everybody needs to learn, that big bang is nothing but a theory and creationism is how we all were conceived. :WOOT:

I am sorry, wait oh I hear it now…Let’s completely drop a campaign to solve the bailout issue. Oh, wait…the “Maverick” did no such thing and when he did sit in on the meeting, he said stuff that was just dumb. Let Chris Dodd handle his committee and bailout plan, he at least knows what he is talking about. I won’t even mention Paulson, he is behind the times with our financial system.

Furthermore, one non-rank-and-file Republican, Senator John McCain, is apparently playing spoiler. Earlier this week, while refusing to say whether he supported the Paulson plan, he claimed not to have had a chance to read it; the plan is all of three pages long. Then he inserted himself into the delicate negotiations over the Congressional plan, insisting on a White House meeting at which he reportedly said little — but during which consensus collapsed.
