still dont think that would make it over 65 :):embarassd
agreed i got tagged for 88 ( going in the middle of group of like 6 cars )in a 70 on I40 in NC, the cop was a total Dick
no points transferred back
YES some do transfer i got a 96 in a 70 in NB(gayest state ever) and it on my record
What state is NB???
Some states do trade points.
I also just got nailed for 73 in a 55. Had the cruise set for 73 in the 65 zone and slowed for the 55 zone and slower traffic. Resumed the cruise and forgot to set it at 63.
I got about 19 letters from lawyers in NC. I also have to appear in court because I was going more than 16 over the legal limit.
I will most likely hire one of the attorneys to take care of this for me. No matter how I do it, it is still going to cost me.
I wasn’t driving recklessly, just forgot to adjust the cruise. I suppose that I was due for a ticket. I get one every 7 years.
As a member of the DLC member states are required to report ticket convictions received by a motorist back to the state where they are licensed to drive. Their own state then determines if this offense will be placed on their driving record and if any points will be assessed.
PA is part of the DLC, but if you pay the out of state citation, than PA does not issue points on your PA license. It has been that way for many years, but according to the above article, it may change in the future.
It sounds like you got something else going on, that you got the letters + the 16 mph over might be a big thing in that state (like 30+mph over in PA is auto suspension of your license). Doesn’t mean you are getting PA points.
I was in Myrtle Beach for the last week, my buddy got a 68 in a 40, $440 ticket. The cop also handed him a sheet of paper with the procedure on how to pay it since we were obviously out of state. The paper said if the ticket was not paid in full by the court date (which had optional attendance) that his lisence would be suspended in his home state. So something carries over.
Yes, but only if the fine is not paid. If the fine is paid on time, then no points.
