Outlook + Dial-Up

Before I g oover to his house to look at it. My uncle wants to use dial-up for his ISP, not sure which yet (AOL, Earthlink, NetZero) but he wants to use Outlook for his e-mail and everything. I’ve only used Outlook on an e-mail server here at work, so I’m not sure if it can be setup to work with dial-up at home.

Is it possible?
How hard is it to setup?

very easy

when you first run outlook config, you choose ISP etc, and if it doesnt give you the infos there, just type in POP and SMTP

its super easy

:word:

unless it doesnt work the first time you try…then your in a world of hurt, as with any microsoft application.

koo. thanks.

I think i talked him into adelphia

lol well thats an easy fix

“look i dont want to come to your house to work on your computer again so why don’t you just get adelphia and be done with it”

heh, ever use Lotus Notes and dialup, its slooooowww
