Right now im at 159,579.32 KB, but that was strictly off my phone. The only bad part about this is that everytime I want to make a phone call, I have to unplug, switch connections and dial back into broadband access via internal data.
yep. its not the most convenient solution.
nevermind, I can still txt/call while connected to my laptop. I feel sorry for all the suckers paying the extra money to Verizon…
you mind doing a small write up on what you did and what the outcome was?
Am I going to go to jail for fraud? I could probably write something up. I’m off Thursday and Friday, I’ll see what I can do.
lol, im just looking to learn what you did.
Not a problem.

That thread was what did everything.
- Download/Install the attached “ICSInstall.CAB” file.
(You may not need to do 2 - 6 but this is how I got it to work.) - Restart your phone.
- Test the install by Connecting the USB cable to your computer.
- Then run “IntShrUI” from the Programs Menu and select “Connect”.
- If done correctly the program should display “Connected”.
- Now select “Disconnect” and disconnect the USB cable.
- Download/Install the attached “WMWifiRouter91.CAB” file.
- Restart your phone.
- Turn on Wifi.
- Run WMWifiRouter from the Programs Menu.
- Select “Connect”
- If done correctly the program should display “Connected to WMWifiRouter Ready”.
- From your computer search for the “WMWifiRouter” wireless connection.
- Now have fun surfing the web from anywhere.
*You may need to restart your phone and repeat steps 10 - 14 a few times to get it to work.
You have to tweak your connection settings a little bit, but its pretty straight forward.
Basically your using your phone as a wifi hotspot.
Just an FYI if you use it in airports or whatever, broadcasting wifi will absolutely murder your battery
Yeah, iv got my phone plugged into my computer and it cant even keep up to charge it. I’v got it on energy save mode so that when it reaches a certain point, its shuts down the wifi. that shuts down the entire operation, but at least my phone is still operable if need be.
man, you are better off using a 30 day return policy from one of the carriers.
more info?
pretty much any major carrier has a return policy of 30 days. go sign up for one of their aircards, use it, return within 30 days. you’ll pay for the days that you used and it prolly an activation fee, but thats it. beware, the data will most likely be prorated, so keep an eye on it.
I just called to have time warner installed and it will run us $119 a month here. I’m going to convince my boss to go that route and stop making everyone use aircards around here. Its nonsense the way we are doing things right now.
um, yea.
So I used this all day today at work and it worked perfect. It lasted from about 10:30-4:30 even with me sending emails, uploading pictures and streaming the hockey game.
I had about an hour left of work when my phone started to die on me. I threw it on the wall charger and was good to go.
We have T1 coming to be installed the beginning of next week so I should have to use this very limited.
Hopefully some of you guys are able to take advantage of this though
Oh and i should add, I’m only at 350 MB right now
