Painted my valve cover....

Scott and I were bored recently, so we decided to give a fresh coat of paint to my valve cover. The engine bay is getting the murdered out treatment (black IC piping, black intake piping, dark grey filter, black boost controller) so hopefully this will fit right in.

Anyway, on with the pics of how we did it.

Carefully remove vinyl with an x-acto knife, add a bunch of layers of clear coat, and bam! - final product:

We use metalcast on the covers when we do them, either way the paint still came out looking awesome. :thumbs up:

thanks for the compliments, I definitely wanted something busy and full of contrast under the hood, as the whole car has the black/white contrast theme. Maybe this would be better suited for a honda-tech thread :lol: (eg scott’s old EF). I guess I’m just a honda boi at heart, but am definitely a Rogue Status fan.

I figured you’d either love it or hate it, but it fits me and I’m pleased as punch :smiley:
