dont bother with the sand / reclear deal

primer, base, clear (to much clear just causes extra rock chipping) the 1500 and 2000 and buff

and when your wetsanding, if u dry off a section it might LOOK like your smooth (no shiney spots in the lows of the orange peel) but you might not actualy be smooth yet, and orange peel will show in your final (buffed) finish

if your going to do your own paint / buff, i suggest doing the wetsanding of the clear using a soft pad and not a DA

its a good workout, and its a good way to learn what your actuay doing w/ the DA … and youll have to handsand anything thats not a convex panel anyways …

and also of note, spi has great & inexpensive primer & clear
