PB Blaster stained my wheel

Last week I went to rotate the tires on my 07 Camry with alloy wheels. One of the wheels refused to come off after i removed the lugs, so after hours of beating it with a dead blow hammer, i decided to spray some pb blaster in there. I finally managed to get the wheel off and went about my work as usual. When i put it back on, I cleaned off any remaining pb blaster that i could see. After driving my car for the next couple days, i noticed that the wheel was recoated in pb blaster, i’m guessing that the excess that remained on the hub splashed off onto the wheel as i drove the car. Now my wheel has brown pb blaster all over it and i can’t seem to get it off. I’m just hoping that it didn’t eat through the clear coat that’s on the rim. Has anyone had this happen and is there anything that i can use to clean this off?

I just went out to try some more and just realized that it made its way onto my paint too. sweet.

Doing sooner is better than later in this case…

Why dont you start with a regular wash see if that helps at all.

Step up to some OTC claybar if you have it available

Or skip and

Next would be a dedicated chemical paint cleaner (I think Meguiars has a 1 2 nd 3 step system available with Step 1 being the paint cleaner from maybe Pepboys. There are a bunch of good OTC options otherwise too.

Next would be a mildly abrasive polish by hand to start- with hope that the stains are relatively superficial and not too deep

Then progression to a more moderate polish and so on

Sending you a PM…
