people who get screwed on cars and love it.

I remember someone a while ago at work telling me he got a great deal on a 2005 Saturn Vue for like 24k and about 30k miles on the clock. I kind of just giggled as it was a tad high even for a nicely loaded one. Then he proceeded to tell us how smooth the 4 cylinder was, and how he’ll save gas without AWD.

At the time, they were going for low 18k. I didn’t even say anything because he was so convinced he was special. That and I had to sit next to him for 2 more months no point in pissing him off letting him know he took it up the rear.

Similar case for me I went to Northtown to check out a 2002 WRX wagon with a fair amount of miles, and it had look like it was modded at some point. Online it stated 20k. I walked in pretending like I didn’t know anything, and claiming just having seen it to see what the salesman would do. He quoted me 23k initially, I walked out.

Several other places either wouldn’t deal with me, or used very high pressure sales tactics. Something that usually will just make me back off immediately.

A month later, I managed to get the probe in “safe” enough condition to drive it down to PA dumped it, and picked up a nice clean WRX Wagon for about 9k less with some more miles on it. Took a 270 mile drive each way, and had a fun road-trip with lots of pictures that got posted on the internets in the process, and made for a fun weekend.

EDIT: If you want a fun picture story thread!
