pet health insurance

^ I’m sure 99% of the negative reviews never looked at that.

What concerns me is the big Cancer button at the top says: “When Casey stopped eating and lost interest in her catnip toy, it was clear something was wrong. She was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer that affects cats and dogs.

It shows the vet cost of $11571 and the Whole Pet plan covering $10414 vs the Major Medical only covering $4237.

When you scroll down to Lymph Node Cancer on the little what’s covered chart both Whole Pet and Major Medical have the same full green circle. If they’re both covered why was the payout over $6k different?

So last night my dog puked 3 times, and also a couple times this morning. So after $1,600 at the OP animal hospital, he is still sick.

Interesting topic.

My GSD of 13 years was great, minimal costs, no insurance. Didn’t have any health issues though. Guess I was lucky.

My dads cat cost him $1200 for a surgery only for the cat to be put down the same day, cancer that couldn’t be treated. He’s mentioned wanting to get insurance for the new cat. The dog he inherited has all sorts of stupid issues and allergies, it’s an african boerboel. Probably smart to have insurance on that thing too.

My freaking Newf is allergic to wheat, carrots, certain kinds of legumes, etc etc. He loves fruit and veggies so that adds to it. He will drool if he sees broccoli.

Our GSD is allergic to rice. It’s a pain in the ass to find food without rice, plus we have to find cat food without rice because the tard will stop at nothing to eat it. He also shits more than he eats, and the pooper scooper guy won’t service east butt fuck, where we currently live. I’m conpletely over animals

Yup. The kind we were getting our super sensitive emo dog one day changed the recipe and started adding wheat millings-LOVELY.

I don’t have insurance on my dude (knocks on wood several times). He’s 3 now and usually runs me a couple hundred every vet visit which is usually twice a year.

:knocks on wood again)

My stupid German Shepard/Mastiff/Lab mix is some how still alive and kicking. Last year he decided a bottle of laundry soap didn’t belong on the kitchen table so he ate the bottle and dumped it all on the living room rug. Hes mowed down on bleach wipes, couple of those liquid air fresheners that plug into the wall, rope, socks, shoes, plastic squeakers from his toys…I thought for sure the laundry detergent would have down some damage but he just had the shits for 2 days.

Our GSDtard has eaten: a whole uncooked pizza, a whole spiral cut ham (with bone), rocks, mulch, pressure treated 4x4, poop (poopsicles in winter), 2lbs of m&ms, four boxes of peeps, 50 chicken wing bones, a dozen egg shells, dozens of crayons, rolls of toilet paper, q tips, a tube of tooth paste, numerous cardboard boxes, three golf balls and part of a putter. Fuck if I know how he’s still alive

So my dog had to get surgery for a blockage in his intestines. Just spent 2k more, so total of $3,600. Too bad OP Animal hospital missed the blockage, they did an Xray and ultrasound and it missed it. Not sure if it would have changed the total we spent since Op animal hospital is expensive. But my dog could have died.

I’m really impressed with the bones and golf balls. Never understood the rock thing and why do they eat their poop. He’s tried rocks but didn’t seem to like them much but poop he loves that. I swear I’ve seen his tail wagging while hes eating it.

Vet wise the only cost’s have been shots and check up’s. The real money has been stuff he’s destroyed and eaten.
