Verizon Cellphone, and a soapbox woo, what would I do without you guys?
have a lot of blurry grainy pics for the mag!!! lol
bri…i have been looking into buying the 17-40 L for 3 weeks now…the 70-200 is the other lens i want. how do you like the 17-40?
I like it but there have been times I wish I had something wider than f/4. I’ve been thinking of ditching the 17-40 and getting the 16-35 f/2.8, but I need more morney before I do that. Eventually I would like to get the 2.8 trilogy (16-35, 24-70, 70-200) 1 down 2 to go.
So I assume canon cameras are the way to go huh?
Anything to look for as far as features/options for regular people when they go to look for a DSLR?
If your looking into getting a DSLR, I would probably go entry level at first. There is a bit of a learning curve to conquer. A few things I find myself wanting on my entry level camera are sport metering and a way to plug in studio lighting instead of using radios. I only discovered this problem when I let a friend barrow my camera for a shoot. We had no way to use her lighting, and had to use my 580.
all options are basically the same when it comes to a dslr. your biggest thing when choosing a dslr is how much do you want to spend? that will basically determine what model/manufacturer you purchase. a point and shoot nowadays will have just as many options as the dslr, its just that they dont have the interchangeable lens options. it all depends on how much you wanna spend and what you want to get out of the camera
yeah that.
speaking of which, some of them have even that.
my canon A570 IS which is a decent point and shoot, has a removable ring around the lens which can accept other lenses.
dunno if’ll ever get to use that feature, but still.
its not a true lens to the same affect as the dslr’s. they are actually adaptors that give similar effects to effects such as zooms, fisheye, wide angles ect
gotcha.
