What can I use to open these? My software doesnt seem to be loading on my computer as it was intended for use with Win 98 and I am now running Vista.

I think I’ve seen that file extension before. Publisher file extension maybe?
Yeah…I have an infrared camera that captures images onto a compact flash disk but it codes it funny so you need their specail sauce software to open the file which is outdated.
It worked on my laptop which was Windows XP but its not working on Vista.

can you install the software? Try right clicking on it and changing the compatibility mode to Win 98/ME
it doesnt give me an option…when I put it in the CD drive it doesnt do an auto install and prompt me in anyway…I clicked the setup.exe and it sets it up but says it does not recognize some of the files and there are no updates.
Hmm, try the manufactures website I guess? Contact them if need be. I don’t know if it would work but a virtual machine running 98 might work…not sure though.

Been there done that…their customer service is pretty useless as their only suggestion is to buy a new 25k camera from them with all the software updates.

So you can’t right click the setup.exe file -> properties -> compatibility (tab) -> run this program in compatibility mode for win98?
Nope…the software might as well be 8bit nintendo…It was released in 99 and I cannot even manually browse and click the files I need off the CD
did you try going into “my computer”, right clicking on the CD drive and hitting “explore”
