i have a 12 second street tire car ! 
doesnt anyone care ? prolly not but i love it ! n work har dot buy parts for it. i did some worrk but i prefer to get someone who knows more than me to work ona car i need for daily driving
if someone rolls ina soupra ill say nice car but i dont give 2 shits about it like everyone else. I respect what i like… everyone is different

gimmie a g body ill fix or replace anything on it ! and actualy i did do 90% of the work on my old monte even helping with the engine !!! redid suspension added a radiator starter spindles springs exhaust. gimmie a car with wires that if they melt i gotta pay out the ass no thanks !

i’m in the same boat as you, i know i can put breaks on my car, but my dad will do it and do it right. I leave the mechanics up to him cause i know it will get done right in a timely manner. But I was on my own when it came to the dash, the buckets, the gauges,etc.
