C5 FTMFW can i see more!!!
white walls look awesome…
That is one sharp looking vehicle you got there.
Another mod… This one is basically FREE. Installed some reinforcement bolts to the shifter cage. It’s a fairly common mod that i should have done to my Elise. Thanks to king (kcuv) and turbociv for lending hands and keeping me company.
From the factory, the shifter is a little wobbly and the ebrake feels like crap when you pull it, tons of side to side flex…
Part 1 of the mod simply entails drilling a hole all the way through the car floor and putting in another bolt:
Of the three bolts on the front of the shifter cage, the one closest to the camera is the one i installed. That made a slight improvement.
Then I installed this stud+nuts+bushing to the middle of the shift cage. It goes through a hole drilled in the cage into an existing threaded hole in the floor. The new stud/nut is to the left of the two blue tipped studs. This made a HUGE improvement. It literally feels like a whole different car…

not my first choice in cars, but the white looks 10x better than the red. rear end of the car looks nice
I love little mods like that which completely transform the feel of a car.
One that i’ve always been a fan of in most cars are brass (or otherwise solid) shifter bushings to replace the rubber ones. When the shifts feel sharp and accurate, with little to no play, the driving experience is sooo much more enjoyable… so I completely believe you when you say it feels like a totally different car.
the white is so hot nice pick up
+1, and are practically free with a little time…nice job…
Keep doing little dumb shit because I like being in the car…
Painted my climate control surround. Before it was shitty grey plastic:
Just painted it Flat black to match the rest of the interior:
Also painted the numbers on my shift knob, lol…
I also ordered some LEDs for the parking lights so they match the HIDs.
Tastefully done, I like it.
Would you ever get rid of the Alpine HU and put something that is less noticeable?
Does Lotus sell a OEM CD/MP3 player?
