Pics of Drift Mania 3 in Montreal

http://neo240sx.ca/johnnyz/driftmania/

Some NEO pics of the Skyline show…er…Drift Mania 3  It was the most populated car - I think there were 10 of them with GTRcanada.com prez there Saturday it was 11. Plus there were two stunning S14s with 450whp RB26s stuffed in them too - we’ve seen them online but not up close. I met the owners and got to play with one on the highway too.

Who was there I don’t know screen-name to faces

Awesome weekend! Never thought I’d be raging around city streets in a GT-R following Seigo Yamamoto in another GT-R like it was an Option video?! Shout outs to Auto Motion in Montreal, class guys especially Marco Santos who lent out his sweet S13 to Skye, stand up guy and possibly the next big superstar headed to Formula D. And the Saisan Tuning guys from Kitchener who put built the Skyeservice.com S13 from bone stock to drift ready SR monster in just over 3 days.

BTW: DOES ANYONE HAVE PICS OF MARCOS SANTOS IN THE SKYESERVICE.COM GT-R drifting with the ATTESA off??? That was hard to watch because its so clean and they had to drive it home to Toronto!

Out of all those shots… taken at DRIFT mania… only one picture is of drifting :?:

Nice pics of course, but wtf mate? lol

nice cars damn…

but i would have liked to see some action pics -_-

Awsome event thanks to Haig, Marco, AutoMotion and the rest of the crew.

Drifting pics here:

Noice. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Shooter was just a regular guy…point n click cameras don’t do drifting from the stands.

I’m still looking for some shots/vids of a few things:
1.) Skyeservice.com R32 drifting with Marco at the wheel
2.) My R32 Gunmetal with WEDS on the track
3.) Skyeservice.com S13 with Seigo at the wheel.

frigg i wish i had the money to be able to go there and compete

looks like it turned out to be an awesome event
nice pix for sure

So, Kendrick, was this because of a near miss or a job well done?

How did you do anyways? I am sure we are all wondering…

damn nice pics

 wish i couldve been there :frowning:

He could just be mooning the crowd…

Kissing St Eustache…had such a good time there and happy I made it to top 6 that day. Managed to place 4th in the finals and 4th overall in the series.

Funny you should mention mooning the crowd caseu team canada was goina write “A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N-S S-U-C-K” on our ass as a bonus round salute to the crowd.

Good time fo sure…if you’re thinking about drifting next season start putting ur cars together now cause 2006 is goina be sick!

Kendrick, seriously i don’t want to sound gay, But you are a inspiration for I’m sure alot of guys that can’t afford to do engine upgrades. You’ve shown alot of people that good suspension, differential and seat can go a long way. This should be an eye opener for alot of these kids that think they need an SR and nothing else to drift.

All I have to say, is way to fucking go man! It can only get better from here for you!

I’m hoping to have a car with no bugs for next season so I can actually make a couple of these and have the privilege of running with people as good as yourself.

Keep showing em how its done :stuck_out_tongue:

Andrew

Yay for S14 Kouki!!

Yeah for sure, shout outs to Special K for an…‘edge of your seat’…ride.

Thanks for the kinds words Andrew. Honestly…weighting on equipment for drift is not as important as your will and skill to drift. Use what u have, learn from it and upgrade as u need it.

Basics for drift:
Adjustable suspension (height, dampening, rebound if u can)
Predictable diff (viscous is nice but not so predictable)
Seat (Something that will hold u in)
Tires (Try to get something ur comfortable with decent grip, grippy at the front and slippery at the back wont help in competition, although it might be easier to break the back end loose u wont have enough control on multiple drifts)

Technique can outweight power and looks. So dont be so concerened about rims, power, body kit. Focus on the technique ladder and using what u have.

I’ve learned a lot this season and hopeing a lot of u guys will be able to compete and practice in 2006…PLEASE! Ontario is lacking representation in canada. Quebec guys are getting really good!

The best mod u can get is learning from mistakes…human mind can overcome equipment and power…learn from the bottom and u willl become a good drifter…maybe not the best in D1 or Formula D but a good drifter. Prove to nobody but urself

Well put^^

Some fit girls there! Next year will be killer, I’ll be representing Ontario!

Congrats to all the winners, and everyone who has the balls to the wall in those pics!

I’ve been drifting a stock beater for a long time. I feel like I’m fairing pretty well for a 100% stock car.

Got a nice new one now though! (I’ll post my new pride and joy soon)
Gonna fix her up over time and hopefully I’ll come out to the competitions!

Glad to hear you’re doing well Kendrick. Keep it Sideways.
