OSB board, just Tag it. do a white base coat and spray some graffiti, then work on shelves, and overhead storage so you can keep the floor open
Looks like I have to learn to hang drywall.
Thanks guys… I have some other ideas… getting the walls covered up/painted will probably be first. Then epoxy the floor.
buy me a 12pack and i’l be there wackin off to the supra, and taping the walls… did it in my basement, not the best but hey free help ya can’t really complain. :tong
I can tape and hang drywall used to do it before web design
and uh my suggestion, i have alot but i’ll say just one so u actually read it…
Stick a fat ass air compressor in the actic or whatever that is above the ceiling you got there, then run the hose to the center over the car, with a spinning swindle i guess you can say, so that u can walk around the car with the hose spining around, but it wont touch the car etc etc Have the compressor on a circuit that has a switch down below so u can switch on and off the compressor when ever you wanna
and the compressor in the actic would be alot quieter unless u have it up there wrong then it would make alotta virbration
i got alot more suggestions that im guessing u dont really care about so thats just one for now
Very nice spot for a smooth ride… I have a wide boy paint roller and wide paint tray if you want to paint the garage walls. If I’m around I can help you out with it too.
cant go wrong with a nice workbench
Joe has his compressor in the basement with the hose run up to the garage, and it’s definately alot nicer not going deaf while you use it. I would definately say it can use some paint at least if you’re not going to dry wall (although it’s not hard). Put a nice long workbench on the wall opposite of the cabinets. (I would say leave the little alcove alone since you’re actually using it for storing the grill and lawn mower.) Trade the couch for some bar stools so you can move them around more easily or have a place for friends to sit, or to sit at the work bench. Get an under the cabinet LCD so you can tuck it up out of the way (or if you were really into the TV thing open up the two center glass cabinets, take off the doors and put the TV in there), and put a stereo in one corner under the cabinets, then the speakers above the cabinets out of your way. If you really wanted to you could put a mini fridge (or kegerator) under the cabinets. :tong
I know most of this stuff doesn’t really help with working on the car, but it will help to clean up the space and keep it looking more neat while still being functional. I would be willing to offer more intricate decorating plans in exchange for a ride. ;D :lol
LOL
i still say build a raised platform for the car…and sheet rock the garage
Ryan you always know ill lend a hand with the house if you need it. Just a phone call away
Shift 518 Drywall Day!!!
I’ll provide the beer/pizza. And Supra rides of course. :crackup :nana
ololol
sign me up. make it an event seriously… do it on a sunday, i’m there.
just use a heavy duty paint on the walls, in order to rock it, you would have to tear down the walls to the studs, creating more work, more money when you could use the existing walls to your advantage, they are more durable than drywall, and its there. just do a grey lower, with a white upper, maybe install a chair rail around the garage to break up the wall a bit.
yes, why drywall when you already have plywood walls? Just paint whats there if you care the much.
plywood’s better. it doesnt crumble so u can screw things to the wall if u gotta and dont have to worry about finding a stud for load bearing. just kinda stick it wherever and itll hold fine
Yea, fuck it, just use what you got! Save time and money to put it elsewhere.
