yep i saw it, and both cars weren’t running anywhere near 100% according to the rx7 owner. the rx7 blew a motor 3 days prior and was only running 11psi instead of 28 they had tuned for. i guess the civic kept blowing ic piping so they had to run “low” boost as well

everyone on honda-tech rides theirs nuts. apparenlty being able to post graphs with big numbers (evans does after he tunes them) on the interweb doesnt mean you actually build fast cars.

so the rx should have beaten them by even more cars.

They lost b/c of a design flaw in their turbo kit. Had there not been so much sack riding they might have noticed it before the the show taped.

basically lol the motor in the rx7 was built using spare parts just to get it running. if you noticed during the episode it even started overheating towards the end lol

I think the show is ok, but i hate it when they give car length leads at the starts and stuff. The one show i watched it was a trans am and civic, and the civic wanted a 10 car lead because he couldn’t get traction and he wasn’t running right or something. They should match up these guys by thier track times.

If I remember this was addressed in an interview, they try to but the problem is people lie/aren’t quite ready/proven.

i think someone said a coupler was broken and they werent getting full boost and they never noticed it…but i read that somewhere
