Instead of me searching for “dyno”, can ppl list names of places that have dynos with wide band o2? I need to get it done before mid May
call them, they will be your best bet
Speednation, 412-882-3100.
Dyno should be up and running in July though. Sorry.
x2
thats where ill be headed
alright, thanks. now for 1 more question, i had stropes tell me today that they need to weld a bung in for the air fuel ratio and ive also heard you can just pull the o2 sensor out and go from there. does it matter? obviously i know w/o the o2 sensor, your car may not run right, but ive heard both.
weld a bung in
hyrbid doesn’t need to do that because they have a sniffer for the muffler
if you have cats you cant sniff it…
yeah you can
Um, if your cat is using oxygen :read working: then wouldn’t that hinder the sniffer’s evaluation? :slap:
sorry sammy, no you can’t, well you can, but it isn’t gonna be right
best bet, weld in another bung. worst case, pull your o2. generally they don’t do anything at WOT, as long as you leave it connected, it shouldn’t throw a code while dynoing it
lol what are them i dont have any on my car lol
haha. yeah i know im probably goin to have to weld one, but its a tight fit up there. im just checking my options. Ill see if hybrid wants to do all of that today
learn something new everyday. I know that dyno I was on at carlisle sniffed cars with cats on em that is why I said that
didnt think that was a tune… thought it was just for power ratings :dunno:
The wideband on my MR2 can output a signal to mimic the stock O2 sensor during cruise. This way you just need the one sensor rather than welding another bung. But as was said above, if your ECU is normal, the signal from the O2 sensor is not used during WOT. Just pull it out of the bung, ziptie it out of the way and screw in the shop’s sensor.
sorry to revive, but this is for the ppl at hybrid… do you think you’ll have it “up and running” by the 16th? I have a saturday day off and thats a first, plus its on the way to the track.
its up & running!

Can someone clarify this - if I remove my O2 to insert the one for the dyno, will that screw up the A/F readings across the range?
If so, can Hybrid weld a bung in for me? Where would be the best place, anywhere before the cat? Does my Jet Hot coating screw up the welding?
