Im in school and need a job, is it worth delivering pizza’s? I was offered a job and can start tonight if I choose… Just wondering if I’m wasting my time or not? Anybody done this before? I realize its wear and tear on the 240, but as soon as the snow hits i pull out the corolla… Ya so any personal experience info would be good, thanks
Ehh… wouldn’t it be IF the pay is better go for it?
As to the job… for me it’s all about the hours, not the pay, it depends on what it’s like for you. Some people need a job with very low and flexible hours that won’t interfere with their studies. If you’re just starting university now, I suggest NOT getting a job, or getting one with very low and flexible hours. Your early years are most important, b/c if you make a crappy GPA for yourself (like I did…) you’ll have to work your ass off in 3rd and 4th year (like I am right now… ugh…). So be smart about it. Good marks early on = scholarships. It’s way more worth it to focus on your studies and get money for studying, than fuck up your school, and make a few bucks delivering pizzas. That’s just me though…
I know a couple of guys that did that and the pay wasn’t that bad actually. I mean, getting any kind of money while you are in school is great.
Good thing about that was that they worked in a pretty good area and the tips were great cuz they delivered pizzas to bunch of middle aged people who didn’t mind giving them a $5-10 tip…
So if the area is decent, you might actually make some good money in tips.
i say do it , me and lcuky helped out a few of our freinds a couple times and people do tip decent, from what they weere saying they would clear about a 100 bucks on a slow night , and it was fun, ever deliver a pizza after sliding into a parking lot with the customer watching ??? its fun man, they enjoyed it , shit my buddy shash was even giving out a 15 minutes or its free guarantee… i say do it , a job is a job, the ends justify the means
