I used a break in additive that came with my cams after I put the motor all back togehter…

Ive heard some people say a breakin in additive is necessary for a prolonged life and others say otherwise. I’d honestly use it, better safe than sorry

Anyways I revved my car to 3500rpms for a good 30-45 mins… Dropped the oil

put soem more reguluar napa 5w30 in drove about 400miles… drained and continued with amsoil

I put close to 10k on my car this year… And i do anything but drive easy, that car has been beaten on pretty bad, even more than I did last year when it was N/A and I really dident give a fuck

Now if onyl break in additives worked on the rear end mount :ponder

BTW af ew cam insturctions I see all say to rev at 1.5-2k for 30 mins… but at least on a lifter setup… The break in is better at a higher RPM as it helps wear in the tops of the lobes better

you just told him not to use anything but shit oil, now your saying u used break in additive? and you revved that poor thing for 40 minutes at 3500???
