some of the first batch out don’t like to play games. Also the later ps2’s supposedly have slightly better graphics.

- buy new 1 at walmart
- return old 1 in new box
don’t think you can do that…cause when you buy it they scan the code on the actual PS2…check the box…there is a whole in it so they can get to the bar code on the PS2
i did it once before
I was able to do this successfully but got a shit load of hassle. They even called the store manager to come and take care of it. I just wanted to exchange it and still got a hassle. He tried to deny my swap and was giving me a hard time. The lady that origionally was helping me was even getting angry at him. He then tried to take off a 20% restocking fee and I said fuck that and told him I’d just dispute the charge on my credit card. He eventually caved in but told me he never wanted to see me in the store again. (??? still not sure why ???) Well after he walked away and I was doing the paper work with the first lady, she slipped me a peice of paper and said read it when I got outside. While me and the manager were argueing she had written a note that basically said he was an asshole and did that to alot of customers. The note had his name, the store number, and a complaint line. She recommended I call it immediately.
I haven’t seen that guy in the store since.

fuck walmart? FUCK YOU! YOu just gotta know how to play the game. A friend of mine built an entire power washer for free from wal-mart. He kept buying the same model, take 6-7 random parts off it, then return it. Then send a friend in to buy another one. Found a donor engine and few other little things at the hardware store and voila! Free power washer. He did eventually get banned from the store for doing some stupid shit though. Ive bought $600 cameras, PS2’s, bicycles and all sorts of other shit with the sole intention of using it for a while and then taking it back and getting a refund. I like to think of it as the best rental store on the planet.
