i need to replace my plug and wires, i need something decent that ain’t going to cost a arm and leg, it is for a 95 altima, i have looked into msd’s but they don’t seem to make them for my car

Not sure about the obx wires but i’ve heard their other products are good
I Know that Nology are quite expensive but i had a set on my old car that I was quite happy with. just a thought…
is xtune a good product? never heard of them, are they one of those knock off companys where the product does’nt really work?
I dont know looking at the pic on ebay they look like a nology knockoff with the built in capacitor but who knows
Alright this stuff I know and can help.
For wires, they’re all costly (design for the KA24 motor was different, those leads are pretty long) but your best bet would be to stay away from Ebay on something like this. A while back I read a report about those wires, they lack the anti-emr coating used in spark plugs wires (prevents one wire causing another wire to get a pulse and fire the plug, in what could be a bad result). Sorry for the bad news, but better to spend a little more and get the real deal.
But now for the list (I’m sure that you can google them for the low down on each):
Nology Hot Wires
NGK Performance Wires (My personal choice, decent price and very good quality from the company.)
Accel Thundersport Wires
Magnecor (various sizes)
As for spark plugs, I tend to be bias towards NGK (they are the OEM choice for nissan) but have nothing against other decent companies. Just one word of warning, DO NOT USE +2 or +4 BOSCH. These are only optimal in toyotas that have the dual electrode system. Otherwise your spark will be weaker and give you less performance because the spark will be spread over 4 electrodes instead of 1. Also they tend to foul very quickly. Also since your more or less a stock block dont bother with getting hotter or colder plugs. Just get the ones suggested by the company. I’m running a set of NGK Iridium plugs and have no complaints but they are more costly. Once I go Turbo, I’ll be putting a set of coppers (best bang for a turbo since they will foul quicker).
Also dont forget the new distributer cap and rotor, no point in upgrading if the power still cant get there. And while your on the tune up spree throw a new fuel filter on her (Nissan ones are the best, Altima shares fuel filter with the 300zx TT so it has be damn good to put 2 turbos on the line). Other than that… thats my 2 pennies.
OEM is best, NGK all the way.
sparkplugs.com just buy some coppers
If you want some OEM ones let me know…
Werd, who in the fuck would replace OEM parts with OBX…
well i ain’t ryan is gettin me set up, thankfully, josh set me up with some garbage taylor wires, and some no-name plugs, in which i have originally ask for msd, but i did’nt really know the diff in plugs and wires and he told me they just as good
I’ve got NGK wires on mine, never a problem. . . i’d recommend em . . .
Taylor is a decent brand…they just dont fit well.
no they don’t mine are about maybe a couple inchs to long, and compared to ngk or msd they are crap
