Saw this the other day. And again on OT.
thats alot of cash to lose.Id be kind of pissed to say the least
damn. I hate when i lose almost $300 grand in a little over 7 minutes…
that sucks
gambling ftw!
UGH, that really sucks…
that sucks…oh well doesn’t mean too much to those guys
actually after watching that again Daniels play really suprises me there…I mean you have a guy betting and calling raises all the way down and then checks the river. It’s my personal playing style that if that happens and I’m not willing to call his all in as soon as he pushes, I’m checking.
Similar situation happened to me last night and I save my whole stack…had a good flush draw on a AA4 board 2 diamonds…blank hits the turn, guy checks the flop and turn to me I bet a fair size bets he calls river comes and I make my flush and he checks again…I check…he has quad aces
yes… but… what hands could hansen have had to beat negreanu’s? either 55… 99… or 88 which would have been made on the river…
so, hansen raised pre flop and got re-raised. GREAT play by him the whole way through, especially the river check. he put negreanu on a big pair (10-10 --> A-A).
negreanu had his re-raise called, then faced bets until the river. he played the hand correctly, but did he get greedy on the river card? i don’t think so… especially since hansen’s check might have showed weakness (w/ the 4 cards to a straight on the board). if i was him, completely thinking that i had the best hand, i would have bet like 20-30k on the river. of course hansen was re-raising no matter what, but he might not have thought he would get an all-in call if the river bet was lower.
tough situation. still look how long negreanu thinks about it. im sure any of us would instacall that all in.
that guy who checked the 4 aces isnt good… u cant check the best hand 3x in a row. always bet your trips down… people just dont expect u to have it.
I know he isn’t good…and he flopped quads…he could have extracted 25-30 more from me had he bet the river…but he played that card poorly…then the whole table was shocked that I didn’t bet my flush on the river
I don’t fault him for anything but the all-in call…I think it was mostly math…it was 165 to win 400…which honestly it’s pretty good odds when you’re sitting on a boat.
who won who lost i cant watch youtube at work
Hansen won a 600K pot w/ quad fives against 6s full
yeah, the sucky part for negreanu is that hansen knew he had SOMETHING. either an overpair, hit a straight, or even AK. the pros are good bluffers though… hansen could have just as easily been playing KQ like that. so i dont see how negreanu can NOT call that, sitting on the house.
just unfortunate timing… i see a lot of that on party, lol
Man that is a hard hand to get away from. That’s just some bad luck.
