We held a game last night, spur of the moment.

friendly game, 9 players
0.25 / 0.50 blinds, usually just buy in with a $20.

I’m big blind & holding: Ad, Ks

call to me, Raise $2 for my slick, three callers.

Flop: Jh 3s 10h

$2 going round, 2 callers including me.

Turn: Qs

$2 bet, one fold, I raise to $5, He makes it $10.
–now, playing the board, I figure split pot worst case, but take a big shot at it-- I go all in $42.75, and he calls.

Show, he’s holding Qh Kh

I did win most of it back from him through out the night. Thats what I get for playing loose :hang:

lol that sucks but it’s the name of the game.

Big slick usually nets me failure 99% of the time. It got to the point where I’d fold the hand anytime it was dealt to me. Unlucky cards

I’ll usually take a decent shot preflop for big slick… if I don’t get any help from the flop, I’ll slow play it or flat out fold.

Of our usual group of players, pretty much everyone will pay to see the flop, within reason. $1 preflop isn’t unusual, so I wasn’t playing it that agressive until i caught the straight.

I was just more pissed that he called $42 on a $20 pot to chase the rarest hand in poker.

Obv he could’ve had the flush too, but he’d been calling everything since pre-flop.

I’d pay 50 to see a legit royal flush. I play at the casino at least once a week and have yet to see one.

ive seen one royal flush, it was with a suited AKQJ on the board. some schmuck was sitting pretty with a 10-2 offsuit.
