Anyone have them for Edmonton? I have a scanner through work, but only the Sh Pk codes are programmed in. It could be helpful at meets.

Actually I heard in BC a few years ago that all the RCâs were going on an encrypted Motorola unit that canât be monitored by standard scanners. Could be BS, but after they had a bunch of street racing incidents/accidents and high speed chases, the RCâs announced that theyâd like to prevent folks from listening to their signals.
Anyway, considering how well the EPS is funded, Iâd imagine they have the same radios.
I also like where this thread is going. 
Using it at meets was just a joke. Kris, its a media scanner and I pick up all the RCMP stuff perfectly. Its just against the law for me to tell anyone what I hear on there.
I actually need the channels for work, but nobody there knows them. Apparantly Radio Shack can do it for a fee, or I will have to drive downtown to get permission and all that nonsense.
Interesting. But what if your walkie talkie were to be left on âaccidentallyâ while the scanner broadcast through it? Youâre not really TELLING peopleâŚitâs just an accident.

Heâs my radar detector dealer!! lol He actually tests them with all the different kinds of radar units. I want the jammer. no matter how fast youâre going it will send a reading back as if youâre doinâ the speed limit!! itâs like $1200 or so tho!!
Phone them up at the Journal Dave. I sit about 50â away from the Police scanner room and you can hear them going all day long.

I donât think they use actual sources Dave. They may be able to hook you up with Paris Hiltonâs cell phone number thoughâŚor maybe Bigfootâs pager.
