Alcohol is OK though, its not like it ruins families, destroys your body, or is the leading cause of unnatural death under cigarettes. We can’t have stoned out hippies walking around that would be rediculous.

i agree with that whole-heartedly.
legalizing weed really isnt going to generate as much tax money as you think it would simply because there will still be illegal drug dealers selling the shit out of there underwear (i dont know about hippies but i dont want to be puffing on anything thats been in some other dudes boxers) these illegal drug sellers would be competing for business with the “official weed distrubuters” causing more then likly robber murder and other crimes to go on the rise.

dont you think the price and amount of taxation would be a major factor in how much illegal sale of weed still remained after legalization? i couldnt tell you the street price for weed right now but competition with big companies would bring it down to the point it isnt worth selling illegally.

the question you got to ask yourself then would be what do you think would happen to the current drug dealers… do you really think weed and be taxed heavy enough to support all the drug dealers in the united states suddenly going on welfare… i dont know about you but i dont want to be paying for a bunch of lazy( insert N word here )who are to lazy to go get real jobs.
if these lazy ( insert N word here ) arent selling pot they will just have to start selling something else you want your neighborhood weed deal to start selling hard stuff on the community play ground give it to your sister daughter brother or son. keep the shit illegal its that way for a reason to protect the citizens from something.
yea alcohol and cigaretts arent the greatest envention for safty measures however as i understand it it takes less weed for someone to become impaired then it does alcohol and as for cigarettes yea second hand smoke is bad however they arent getting impaired and killing people do to there mistakes reguarly on the road.
anyone that wants to say weed doesnt kill people its just fun to get fucked up is wrong accidents happen all the time and 9 out of 10 are due to impaired drivers

its only a gateway drug because you are forced to go to drug dealers to get it. Many times drug dealers have harder drugs on them. If you could get pot from the gas station, you’d never have to come into contact with those people.
And alcohol is truly the gateway drug. Alcohol is what shows us that its fun/ok to get fucked up on a substance. Its all downhill from there.
i know this is off-topic but its illegal to make your own liquor even though your allowed to make your own beer and wine. i guess its because you can end up with some super high proof liquor if you make it at home.
