i think at least one of the reasons home made liquor is illegal is because its pretty easy to fuck up and make yourself go blind. plus you can never be sure what the exact alcohol content is.
So even though you can brew your own beer, how many people make their own beer and try to undercut Budweiser on the street corner, turning into a bloddy battle for beer sales? none of course.
Phillip Morris can grow fields and fields of weed. much cheaper than some guy with a light and a shed. Simple economics.

I don’t think it should be legal, and if you get arrested for possesion/use/whatever, fuck you, the law is the law. If I get arrested for doing 95 in a 50 zone, should I tell the judge it should be legal to do 95 there because it’s what I enjoy doing?
This country is already fucked up enough, and I’d prefer to not see people walking down my street high/drunk/whatever. Making it legal, I think, will make it more socially accepted, and I don’t want to put up with it.
No. I dont like gay sex, but I think gay marraige should be legal. Its about not legislating morality. Pot is only illegal because people think its “bad”. Thats not a legitimate reason to outlaw it.

its not hard to get now…and anyone who wants to smoke now does, nothing stops them…it would save money for the gov. and make it if taxed and regulated…people can still choose not to be hippy stoner wastes of life if its legal…probably get some real good stuff too…
i dont smoke pot at all anymore…i find it boring…i just really dont see the problem with it being legal.
I find it particularly amusing that the pot heads have better spelling/vocabulary than the non pot heads :bowrofl:
The only downside I see on legalizing pot is that the THC content would be regulated too… :dunno: unless they decide to “grade” the marijuana like the put liquor proof on the bottles
I think that if someone wants to smoke pot, fine, you don’t see pot heads robbing gas stations or prostituting themselves out for a joint…unlike the heroin addicts/crack heads do for a hit…
its not the kids stoned walking the streets that is the problem its the kids that get stoned and jump in a car and start driving around.
many things are illegal because they are thought to be “bad” child molestation, public intoxication, having multiple wives/husbands (paligamy i guess it is)
in a society so focused on being “perfect” anything that isnt considered “normal” is considered “bad” and being considered “bad” ussually makes it considered “illegal”
This would give all of the good pot dealers a chance to start an entrepreneurship. The ones who may be doing it for monetary gain could actually start a legit business. They wouldn’t have to be so shady about the whole thing and could benefit as a small business in their town. For those of you who follow the drug dealer stereotypes you see in the movies:
seems simple i have worked a job where i used to catch shop lifters in grociery stores more then likly you could tell what they were addicted to buy the type of stuff they would steal. ie brillo pads and what not… delmonico steaks were often stolen to go buy drugs they would sell what they steal to shady restruants ie the shamrock downtown… when people want something and live on a fixed income they will do anything to get what the need (crack heroin ect) or even want(cigarrets booze and weed) think about it you ever watch cops and see people get arrested for stealling cigaretts i have and im sure other people have also
not really. Everyone that wants to smoke is already smoking. When I was under 21, it was SOOO much easier to get weed than it was to get booze. :dunno:
and its a KNOWN FACT that its cheaper to produce things in bulk. Phillip Morris would growing TONS UPON TONS of marijuana. The average home grower would only be able to produce a few pounds at a time. Not counting taxes, they could sell you an 1/8 of weed for $1. Tell me how a dealer is gonna undercut that price and still make money.
