Because the government fucks everything up. There would be a ton of tax on it, and it would be controlled, grown, harvested, and distributed inneficiently by incompetent and lazy government workers with no incentive to work hard (or even at a medicore level) at their cushy job, thus raising the price higher than what the private sector could offer.

I haven’t really made up my mind on this topic. I guess why not get the taxes from it, but then I still think it can be harmful. But so are cigarettes, alcohol, blah blah. Either way, I hope my kids don’t smoke it, but I also hope they don’t smoke cigarettes or eat at McDonald’s too often. It’s all available, it’s up to me to parent them so they can make good decisions.
Pot should be sold in vending machines. Just like cigarettes in a bar.

no reason for it to be legal. its bad enough dumb ppl get drunk and carry on. if ppl were able to just smoke a tiny amount then it wouldnt be that bad but youll always have someone who abuses it and gets in way to deep. personally i hate dealing with stoned ppl and drunk ppl. now ppl under slight disturtion arent that bad but past that point they are no good for anything and usually get in more trouble then anything
and the facts that being high doesnt lead to auto accidents and that nonsense is totall bullshit. anything can impare youre judgement.

Wait a min, so smokeing pot is less destructive than smoking cigarettes now? Last time I checked inhaling a toxin into into your lungs still can cause other medical problems like cancer and so forth.

Just like the speeding thing mentioned ealier. There are a lot of drivers out there that can handle vehicles at a high speed. The problem is the other morons. Thats why you’ll never see an autobahn here. People need to be protected from themselves or harming others.
Yes it could come down to a parental thing, but sorry, a lot of morals have been lost over the past 20 years, and one of the things lacking is parental guidance.
