Hey guys,
A friend of mine makes a lot of custom products from urethane for VW cars such as engine mounts, tranny mounts, etc. I week ago I asked him to make me (as well as other people I know with 240s’s) exhaust hangers. The price that we paid for them is $15/each. He is willing to make more for others, so I’m just posting this for all of you.
This is what the hangers look like:
I, as well as 5 other people, each picked up 4 of these for our cars.
The benefits of poly hangers are:
-same size as the stock rubber hangers
-significantly harder compound than stock rubber
-no slack and little movement in the exhaust
-less strain on the turbo extensions/manifolds that a lot of people are running these days
-since they are not drilled, you can drill your own holes to make the exhaust sit at the height you desire
Again, these do not come pre-drilled on purpose. Many aftermaket exhausts hang very low, and I thought it would be a better idea for people to just drill their own 2 holes which would allow them to increase the ground clearance. I recommend picking up a set of 4 since there are 4 hangers in your cars, and the cost for all 4 will be $60.
Poly hangers sell for $30 each at Pacific Mall, so this is definitelly a good deal. Again, I am promoting this for my friend because he makes really good quality stuff, and I think everyone should have poly hangers on their cars.
Methods of payment:
Half of the cost is required before the order is started, and the other half upon completion. You can give the money to me in person, or paypal it to my friend’s account directly.
Shipping:
You can pick these up from me directly, or they can be shipped to you, however, you will have to pay the shipping costs (which should be minimal)
