you won’t… it’s all BS IMO… granted some ‘ads’ / ‘pests’ are solely created for IE / windows… but the margian is minimal.

As far as the XP machine goes… do you ever have to call IS and ask them to load something because “you are not authorized”. If you have… then your IS group has your machine locked down and you are not the administrator. If they have it locked down they are more than likely controlling the software remotely… using SMS or some other app. You may not be able to keep any downloaded software onit. If that is the case… call IS and bitch… tell all your co-workers to call IS and bitch. When they start getting blasted with calls, they will load what ever you want.

i dont use sms… use bat files still.
