Wtf?

Everytime I go on Pittspeed, I get fucking assaulted with spyware/adware/browser hijacks. What the fuck?

I downloaded Opera and I’m running it…

What should I use to block things like nCase, Lycos Sidesearch, IstToolbar, et cetera… from installing themselves?

mozilla firefox. Fuck Internet Explorer

i’m running Opera 7.5

:dunno:

I havent had one problem since I switched to Firefox.

cause yet again your ass is getting owned by some app you installed or clicked on…

will you shut the fuck up already?

i don’t download anything, view porn, or click “Yes” or “OK” to ANYTHING that pops up.

i use my PC for PhotoShop, Winamp, Yahoo Mail, eBay, and car forums. I haven’t even used a P2P client since my last reformat. The only programs I have installed other than what I’ve listed are:

Starcraft
Unreal Tournament
Ad-Aware
Spysweeper
RegSupreme

i am running mozilla and its better than IE

just learn to run a fiewall

so photoshop / winamp have internet ready apps as a part of them and can easily download something… naturally yahoo / ebay / car sites are websites… so yeah, something downloaded and installed…

run a firewall

firewall’s don’t help when he clicks to order the giant dildo and it’s a backdoor installation program…

ya but a FIEWALL owns all :op:

but remember he is a power user!!!

you told me you wanted anal and no one wanted to touch your filthy ass… I was doing you a favour ordering that dildo… figured you could bugger yourself.

Actually no it won’t.

Since the data comes across port 80, which you are allowing anyways through a firewall… It’s called shitty security zones that have more holes than swiss cheese… Mozilla fixes a lot of that.

i had my IE security settings on High. I only allowed cookies for here, Yahoo, and a couple other car boards. I still got fucked.

Opera seems fine.

i block all ports on my firewall

Opera is fine because there isn’t a daemon or registry settings that are there.

Cookies, wtf do cookies have to do with your dumbass clicking on the wrong thing and getting owned yet again?

cookies are the root of all problems…

he likes his magic mouse pointer though!!!

again, i don’t click on anything unless i know what it is.

as for cookies, i just put IE on the preset “High” and it blocked them all. I had to allow cookies on a site-by-site basis.
